Cambridge Youth Programs develops social, emotional, and life skills to prepare youth for high school and beyond.

Monday through Friday. Afternoon.

Ages: 9 to 11.

Grades 4th grade and 5th grade.

Cambridge residents only.

DHSP welcomes individuals with disabilities who meet the basic eligibility requirements of the out-of-school time programs or who with the provision of reasonable accommodations will be able to meet the basic eligibility requirements.

CYP School Year Application

To apply, please complete an application and turn into any of our 5 youth center locations or 51 Inman Street, 3rd Floor. Once your application is submitted, a center staff member will be in contact about the status of your application.

Cost

No cost for 6th, 7th, 8th graders. Session One: September 3, 2019 - January 3, 2020; Session Two: January 6 - June 19, 2020.

  • Sliding scale based on income

Students eligible for free and reduced lunch pay $50 per session.

Additional information

The Pre-Teen Program offers homework assistance, healthy snacks, leadership development opportunities, sports leagues, arts, community service, and enrichment activities such as: cooking, acting, basketball, volleyball and field trips.

Expanded hours on early release days.

Program continues to run during February vacation and April vacation.
