The Fresh Pond Ranger Station is under the clock tower of the Cambridge Water Dept. building facing the reservoir. This is where the public restrooms are. You should be able to see the Milkweed table set up outside and signs will direct you from the parking lots.
Additional information
As part of our ongoing Monarch Butterfly Project, we've been harvesting Milkweed seeds for our own propagation efforts on the property to better care for our annual raise-and-release caterpillars. As the project grows, some years we have a surplus of seeds and this year we plan on helping residents and homeowners be more "Monarch Friendly" by providing free packets of Milkweed seeds! (While supplies last!)
You'll be able to receive a packet of Milkweed seeds and instructions on how to plant them to hopefully boost Milkweed levels in Massachusetts.
