Book Bike visits 10 parks near you to give away free books and run activities during the summer for Cambridge children of all ages, in conjunction with DHSP's Summer Food program.
Sign-up Information
- Ages: Pre-natal to 18.
- Cambridge residents only.
Cambridge Book Bike is cancelled for Thursday, July 10th (at Donnelly Field) due to rain. It will resume again on Tuesday, July 15th, at Greene-Rose Heritage Park.
No application or registration needed.

- 7/8: Fresh Pond Apartments (Rindge Ave.)

- 7/29: Hoyt Field (Gilmore St.)

- 7/17: Danehy Park (by Sherman St. entrance)

- 7/31: Glacken Field (Huron Ave.)
- 8/7: Costa Lopez Taylor Park (Charles St.)
Book Bike will have two special summer parties: Russell Field (Rindge Ave.), July 28 from 5:30-7:00pm. In case of rain, party is 7/29. Clement Morgan Park (Columbia St.), August 6, from 5:30-7:00pm. In case of rain, party is 8/7.

Additional information
This year we will be at various parks from from 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Children and families can pick their own book to take home from a wide selection of books, do a fun craft activity and hear stories read aloud. The Book Bike encourages summer reading by modeling that reading is fun!
We will also host two summer parties at the end of Book Bike at Russell Field (July 28, 5:30-7:00 PM) and Clement Morgan Park (August 6th, 5:30-7:00 PM).
