Additional information

The Bridgeside Cypher is a platform for local rappers, singers, beatboxers, and/or musicians to collaborate in a public and improvised format and a space for upcoming artists to work on their craft without fear of judgment or criticism from others. The Cambridge Hip-Hop Collective encourages artists of all ages and experience levels to come and participate. Fans are also welcome to come and support!

About the Cambridge Hip-Hop Collective

Mission statement: "To build bridges between people of all different backgrounds in our community through hip-hop." - Cambridge Hip-Hop Collective

Aaron King and Jillian Girardin, lead organizers of the Cambridge Hip-Hop Collective, were born and raised in Cambridge. Veterans of the Boston/Cambridge music scene, both artists have been performing as individuals, hosting shows, and producing videos for some years.

As hosts of the Bridgeside Cypher, they create an ongoing space that encourages artists to focus on their music and work on their craft. The Cambridge Hip-Hop Collective believes that providing an outdoor event where artists on the scene can express themselves is very important right now.
