After sharing examples of exquisite graphite works from the museums’ collections, Mayhew will lead a hands-on session in the Materials Lab, where you’ll experiment with complex hatching styles of dessin d’Academie. You’ll also be able to create your own graphite drawings that follow centuries-old practices taught in French academies and ateliers.
