Become a volunteer, lend companionship or provide your skill sets to create memorable keepsakes for patients! YOU can make a difference and bring a smile to someone otherwise suffering.
This is an ongoing program.
Time commitment is based on the flexibility and convenience of the volunteer, based on their schedule. Dates are extremely flexible and visits can be made at any point in time. Some restrictions may apply, depending on the needs of the patient or visiting hours of the facility.
Ages: Adults.
You must be at least 16 years (with parental consent) or older to volunteer.

Apply Now for Hospice Volunteer Openings (nation-wide)
We require you to fill out our application, followed by a "getting to know you" interview. We have a short on-boarding process, with required healthcare forms and statements, such as HIPPA, TB tests, and Certificate of Health sign-off from physician. We also run a background check, and ask for 3 references from non-family members. All volunteers will complete a short (can be virtual) training educating them on hospice care, the roles as a volunteer, and do's and don'ts when interacting with patients and families.

The program serves people at their homes or wherever it is needed or online.
- In-person only.
We do not provide transportation, but will select a facility and patient that is closest to the volunteer's location.
Additional information
Please consider donating your time to help others in need! We offer direct patient volunteer opportunities as well as administrative office volunteers. We have facilities in the Cambridge area, with patients in need of companionship. Volunteer hours are very flexible with your schedule. Visit with patients 2 or 3 times a month, or help us with creative projects, such as making photo albums for our dementia patients. There are always ways that we could use your help! The end result is extremely rewarding. You will help in our mission to provide peace and comfort to patients.
