Using a humanities first approach, students grades 7-8 are introduced to robotics.

Ages: 12 to 14.
Grades 7th grade and 8th grade.
Eligibility is based on grade level (7th-8th). Gender parity amongst the participants is a priority for selection.

Students and/or parents can arrange transportation from CPS Upper Schools to CRLS on an after-school bus. Must check with their school Clerk/front office to make arrangements.

Additional information
Using a humanities first approach students are introduced to robotics. Over 13 weeks, students learn how to use the design process to understand the daily challenges of people with disabilities. Students define relevant problem(s) to solve, explore potential solutions and ultimately build robotic prototypes to demonstrate solutions. Skills learned include human-centered design, coding, 3D-modeling and more.
