Just A Start's Home Improvement Program (HIP) provides low and no-interest loans and technical assistance to income-qualified Cambridge homeowners with their repair and rehab projects.
This is an ongoing program.
Ages: Adults.
Cambridge residents only.
Cambridge homeowners who have owned and occupied their residence for at least one year and investor-owners of 1-4 unit multifamily rental properties housing income-eligible tenants. Low and no-interest loans and grants may be available for low to moderate income eligible Cambridge homeowners.

Funding assistance in the form of low and no-interest loans is provided to qualified Cambridge property owners on a case by case basis.

Additional information
JAS staff work to secure low interest mortgage loan funding and grant assistance, when available, to fund the work. JAS’s experienced rehab specialists guide the homeowner through the entire process: application/qualification; project scope and cost planning, bidding and contractor selection, financing/grants, and technical assistance oversight throughout the project life-cycle. The program is running in a hybrid format.
