MIT Splash

For one awesome weekend each November, thousands of high schoolers flood MIT's campus to take classes, taught by MIT students, on anything and everything.

Sunday and Saturday.

Annually the weekend before Thanksgiving.

Ages: 11 to 18.

Grades 9th grade through 12th grade.

All Splash students must be in grades 9 - 12 and must be at least 11 years old. There are no exceptions to this policy.
All students who attend Splash must have health insurance valid in Massachusetts.
Students who may only attend part of Splash are welcome! Just sign up for classes during the times you’ll be here.

Cost

$40 for the entire weekend of classes (generous financial aid available). T-shirts and food will be available for purchase.

Location

Unless absolutely necessary, do not drive: take the MBTA. Morning check-in is a twelve-minute walk from the Kendall/MIT stop on the red line and a one-minute walk from the MIT stop on the 1 bus route. Parents are not required to accompany students to Splash check-in. (Students coming alone must be extra sure to bring a liability form).
We are not able to reserve any parking space, so if you do drive, you will have to find parking space yourself.

Additional information

From music theory to Hungarian history to aircraft analysis, Splash offerings number over 400 every year and span a wide variety of areas. Want to take a class on origami? Lasers? Neuropharmacology? All are open to you.
