Seedling Distribution Volunteers: Henry Street Farms

By Henry Street Farms

A young pepper plant.

Henry Street Farms will provide one vegetable or herb seedling to each Cambridge student for free! We could really use help from volunteers and those interested in giving in-kind goods.

This is an ongoing program.

Volunteers schedules will vary based on your availability and the needs of the program participants.

Additional information

If you wish to support this program, you can (1) donate large (3-5 gallon) pots, provide potting soil, or fertilizer, or (2) volunteer to help with delivery and administration of the program. Pots, soil and fertilizer can be dropped off on the front porch of 116 Henry Street. Also: tell families about the program!

We also welcome donations of seedlings. Due to covid-19, we organize seedling delivery in advance. Delivery volunteers will be asked to leave the seedling outside someone's home.

The goal of the program is to get more kids interested in growing food in our city. We hope this will also provide a fun activity for kids who are stuck at home now that schools are closed.

Thank you for your participation and support.

The program serves people at their homes or wherever it is needed.

Volunteers wishing to assist with delivery will need to provide their own means of transportation.

For whom

Ages Young Adult to Senior Adult.

We operate lots of gardening opportunities for people in Cambridge. This program strictly serves Cambridge students between preschool and high school.
