Additional information
SHINE is a group run by MIT students that strives to instill confidence in young girls and non-binary kids at an early age by running a 9-week after school joint math and creativity program. Once a week, we connect with middle school (grades 5-8) girls and non-binary kids from the Boston/Cambridge area for a 2 hour dual math and creativity session (crafts, karaoke, dance activities, etc). We believe by combining creativity with our tutoring sessions, we can help students better grasp concepts to build confidence both in and out of the classroom.
