The Safe Routes to School program utilizes a city-owned fleet of child specific bikes to offer on-bike training to all 6th grade students in Cambridge Public Schools.

Additional information
Topics covered include: transitioning from sidewalk to road riding, different types of bike infrastructure, avoiding the "door zone", intersection strategy, balancing at low speed, and bike maintenance. The training culminates in a group bike ride on city streets with assistance from the Cambridge Police Department.
