Once you have set up your Family Information Center account and have paid the application fee, please send confirmation to Stephanie Blakeman at blakeman@mit.edu.

Cost

We establish tuition rates for MIT Technology Childcare Centers (TCC) every year after evaluating TCC priorities and surveying local tuition rates and teacher salaries at non-TCC providers. We publish site-specific tuition rates for MIT affiliates on our website: TCC Tuition Rates Page.

Note that tuition rates are higher for employees of the Broad Institute, Whitehead Institute, Draper Laboratory, and employees of on-site contracted vendors. Higher rates also apply to families who are not affiliated with MIT, including Minuteman Vocational Technical High School employees. (Non-affiliates are eligible to enroll at Lincoln Laboratory Childcare Center only). Check with the enrollment coordinator for details.

Additional information

MIT has long been dedicated to providing a supportive workplace that promotes work-life balance. Back in 1972, we identified high-quality childcare as a key component of that mission, and we established MIT's first full-day childcare program—the Technology Childcare Center (TCC) at Eastgate graduate-student housing complex. Today, we operate five TCC centers—three on the MIT Cambridge campus (The David H. Koch Childcare Center, Kendall Childcare Center, and Stata Childcare Center) and one near MIT Lincoln Laboratory in Lexington (Lincoln Laboratory Childcare Center)—accommodating a combined total of 380 infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.

All TCC centers are accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). NAEYC accreditation means that TCC centers meet the highest standards for quality early education and care, as defined by NAEYC, the nation's largest and most prestigious professional organization in this field.
