We assists low-income households from the City of Cambridge and Somerville with winter heating costs incurred.
This program runs during the school year.
DHSP Fuel Assistance generally runs November 1st through May 13th.
To participate in the Fuel Assistance Program, call 617-665-6234 and leave a message. A staff person will return your call as soon as possible.
Ages: Adults.
Any resident of Cambridge or Somerville who pays a heating bill may apply to the Fuel Assistance Program.

Serving both the cities of Cambridge and Somerville, the Fuel Assistance Program assists low-income households with winter heating costs incurred between November 1 and April 30 (extended to May 13th)
If your household has had a change in income or household size since you completed your application, you may request another review your application’s previous decision of eligibility (amount of assistance) or ineligibility.
