Rainbowdance® brings joyful movement to Newtowne School’s Open House on Jan 11, 3–5 PM! Explore Reggio-inspired classrooms, meet families and teachers, and play, connect, and dance. All welcome—no RSVP needed!

- Ages: 1 to 4.
- Grades Toddler, Preschool, and Junior Kindergarten.

Everyone is welcome at this free community event!
Rainbowdance® is especially suited for children ages 1–5.
The Open House is thoughtfully designed with prospective families considering Newtowne School for the 2026–27 school year in mind.
All are encouraged to attend, dance, explore, and enjoy—no cost, no RSVP, just come as you are.
Rainbowdance® is a gentle, sensory-based movement experience designed to support children with a wide range of sensory needs. Newtowne School’s classrooms are thoughtfully designed to be inclusive and supportive of children with diverse learning styles and special needs.
Rainbowdance® sessions will take place on the ground floor; however, some Open House classroom spaces are located on upper and lower floors, and the historic First Church building does not have elevators.

No RSVP is required to attend this event.
Rainbowdance® sessions are offered at 3:15, 4:00, and 4:45 PM on a first-come, first-served basis, and anyone is welcome to join. Space is limited, so families who want to secure a specific session time are encouraged to pre-register.

Newtowne School is located at 11 Garden Street in Cambridge, inside the First Church Cambridge.
It is a short walk from the Harvard Square T station and many local bus lines.
Bike and stroller parking is available onsite.There is free street parking in Cambridge on Sundays.
Dates and Times
Sunday, January 11 3PM – 5PM
Classrooms will be open continuously for playing during the Open House from 3:00-5:00PM.
Three separate RainbowDance sessions will take place during the event at 3:15, 4:00, and 4:45.
Families may pre-register for dance sessions if they wish to have a specific time. Otherwise, drop in anytime! A specific dance time cannot be guaranteed without registration.
