Materials Lab Workshop: Making a Journal

Join us to create a handmade journal with link stitch binding, led by conservation technician Yi Bin Liang.

No prior experience necessary. Bring your imagination, curiosity, and creativity! Minimum age of 14.

Additional information
In this workshop, you will create your own journal with a link stitch binding, involving only needle and thread. This type of simple binding allows the book to lay flat when open, making it perfect for sketching or writing. It’s also a great way for beginners to learn fundamental bookbinding concepts and techniques.
