About the Fresh Pond Five
They're wind quintet composed of musicians from the Cambridge Symphony Orchestra, a near half-century-old community music organization dedicated to making great music accessible to diverse audiences. Members (Lisa Henske, flute; Ariel Fullmer, oboe; Allison Eck, clarinet; Jerry Blum, bassoon; Charles Williams, French horn) rehearse near Fresh Pond—hence the name—and believe in the enduring aesthetic and energetic appeal of wind quintet music.
