Additional information
On this tour, Ricardo Fernandes Garcia ’27 will explore how representations of innocence have enabled artists to address conflict and war. The stops on the tour are Winslow Homer’s The Brush Harrow (1865), which depicts a scene from childhood; George Grosz’s Nutcracker (1931), which features a group of toys; and Joseph Cornell’s Midnight Carrousel (1954), which suggests the imagination at work.
