Spotlight Tour: Women’s Health and Art, with Eve Crompton ’24

By Harvard Art Museums

Eve Crompton will analyze historical social attitudes toward female health and illness as she examines representations of women in art.

In this photomontage, a young woman in a Harvard sweatshirt stands near an iron gate gesturing toward a three-panel painting that appears to float beside her. The colorful painting depicts a reclining woman amid pillows, flowers, textiles, and sculpture.
