On Monday, April 8th, 2024, Cambridge will be hit with a near-total solar eclipse (93.1% coverage). All are welcome to a viewing party in the grassy field of Kingsley Park, where the festivities will be underway from 2pm to 4:40pm. Feel free to bring your own blanket or chair!
What can you expect?
- Live music by local folk band Trail Mix from 2:30-4:30pm
- Free commemorative eclipse glasses (ISO safety certified)
- Eclipse and astronomy-related experiments and displays
- Educational resources, and new ways to appreciate this unique celestial event
- Community togetherness & a sense of wonder!
