    Additional information

Research shows that when parents and young children take time to explore, enjoy, and talk about math together, it sets the stage for positive early math experiences and helps young children view themselves as capable math learners. But in reality, talking about math isn’t something that comes easily to everyone. MathTalk helps to facilitate those conversations by creating regular opportunities for families to discover and interact with math in their daily lives, wherever they are!

Currently, MathTalk is working with the Cambridge Public School Department to bring more math learning to students. Outside of school, there are plenty of other, free ways for families to find and enjoy math right in their neighborhood: MathTrails! There are three MathTrails in Cambridge, including the Bob Moses MathTrail in the Port at Sennott Park, the Magazine Beach MathTrail, and the King School MathTrail on Putnam Ave.

Anyone interested can sign up to keep updated on events for kids, caregivers, and families.
