Our Youth Resource Officers can be found in the schools and youth centers or by calling the unit phone number.
Additional information
The newly structured Family and Social Justice Section encompasses the "Family Justice Group," "Social Justice Unit" and the "Clinical Support Unit". It will provide specific services to members of the community who would be better served through a social justice approach than what could be afforded to them through a conventional criminal justice approach. By bringing professional staff and specialists together, we are committed to providing vulnerable members of the community with a stronger sense of belonging through customized support, while enhancing the public's trust.

Safety Awareness Presentation

Cambridge Police Youth Boxing and Fitness Program
Cambridge Police Department and Cambridge YMCA
Cambridgeport, Mid Cambridge, Riverside, and The PortWe are a free gender-inclusive, noncontact, fitness-based boxing program held on twice per week in the evenings for Cambridge youth in grades 6-12.
Youth Resource Officers

We interact with youth and their families through schools, teen centers, and afterschool activities to intervene early with substance abuse counseling, mental health, and other diversion supports.

This unit investigates sexual crimes and provides support and social services to survivors of sexual crimes.
Domestic Violence Unit
Cambridge Police Department
We investigate domestic related assaults and abuse incidents and provide an advocate to help survivors obtain community services and develop safety plans.
Supports for Older Adults
Cambridge Police Department
We provide several support services for senior citizens in Cambridge each year including regular outreach meetings, education on common scams or general safety, and our Secret Santa for Seniors event.
