Cambridge Police Youth Boxing and Fitness Program

We are a free gender-inclusive, noncontact, fitness-based boxing program held on twice per week in the evenings for Cambridge youth in grades 6-12.
Sign-up Information
- Ages: 11 to 18.
- Grades 6th grade through 12th grade.
- Cambridge residents only.
Eligibility is based on grade level, the age of the participant isn't a factor, open to all Cambridge Middle and High School students

Cost
This Program is free!
No cost, All equipment is provided. Participants should dress for a workout, if possible. We can provide workout clothing and some personal care items for participants in need, they or a parent/guardian/worker can speak with program leaders about the need

Dates and Times
This program runs during the school year.
We meet twice per week, Mondays and Wednesdays from 4-5:30 PM. This week we will run September 8th to December 22nd and January 12th to June 22nd.
Additional information
The Program is a collaboration between the Cambridge Police Department Youth & Family Services Unit and the Cambridge YMCA. The training is for learning the sport of boxing, and is available to boys and girls. Participants experience ranges from none at all, all the way up to professional.
It focuses on physical and mental health, self-defense skill building, peer mentorship, relationship building, family support, social emotional learning, inclusion, individual growth in a group setting, accessibility, equity, and (most importantly) FUN.
