This is a free-of-cost STEM summer day program aimed at students with low income and/or low exposure to STEM.
Sign-up Information
- Ages: 11 to 15.
- Grades 5th grade through 8th grade.
- Eligibility is based on grade level, students must be rising 6th to 9th graders (entering those grades in September after the program).
- This program is only available for students living in Massachusetts.
- Families must be low-income or low previous exposure to STEM is highly encouraged.
- Refreshments provided.
Free lunch and snacks will be provided every day.

The program will take place somewhere on MIT Campus but the specific location will be decided at a later time.
Dates and Times
This program runs during the summer.
Each week of camp is hosted for a different age group. Camp runs from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
- Week 1: (For rising 6th and 7th graders), August 17th to 21st.
- Week 2: (For rising 8th and 9th graders), August 24th to 28th.
Additional information
Every day is a different theme! We explore chemistry, biology, physics, earth and space, computer science, and math with hands-on activities. Some example activities include bath bombs, doctor day, plasma demonstration, bottle rockets, coding projects, and cryptography.
