Our aging information and service center makes referrals to elder services and disability services, either through those individuals directly or through a caretaker.
Sign-up Information
- Ages: Adults.
- We can make referrals for elder adult services or for adults who are unable to live alone.
- Each program can have different eligibility standards.
- Most programs are for those age 60+.
- Translation services available - Contact the organization for more details. and Wheelchair accessible.

Contact our Aging Information Center at 617-628-2601 to learn more about the programs we can refer people to. Caretakers and Professionals can request referrals for:
- Home Care for Older Adults who wish to continue living in their home and several kinds of in-home services.
- Adult Family Care services for adults who cannot live alone.
- Other types of referrals that provide more specific services or that serve only qualified individuals.
Cost
Some programs may be free or could have a reduced fee or co-pay, depending on whether someone qualifies and the type of health insurance they have.

- Free for some residents

Somerville-Cambridge Elder Services promotes the right of all individuals to live with dignity, in the setting of their choice by offering older people, younger people with disabilities, and caregivers the information, services and support needed to make choices which enhance health, well being and independence. We ensure that older adults and people living with disabilities remain safe and independent by providing a wide range of supportive services, as well as information and advice.
