A trained Home Visitor can come to your home or transitional housing for weekly one-hour visits to model ways for you and your child to explore books and educational materials with our play-based curriculum. Each week, the Home Visitor brings a new book and an educational toy or activity for your child to have. We are a home visiting program of the Cambridge Public Schools.

For whom

Ages 1 to 3.

Cambridge residents only

Families who wish to participate must live in Cambridge and have an age-eligible child [18 months or older, but younger than 42 months by October of that school year]. A parent must be present and ready to play and talk with his/her child during visits and be willing to use the new materials during the week.

Enrollment is ongoing on a first-come, first-served basis. Parents (or a representative) should call either Peggy 617.349.6849 or Honey 617.349.6724.

The Home-Based program is free to Cambridge families. All books and educational materials are given to your family.
