We assists low-income households from the City of Cambridge and Somerville with winter heating costs incurred. Due to COVID-19, we have extended our support until the end of May!

This program runs during the school year.
DHSP Fuel Assistance generally runs November 1st through April 30th
To participate in the Fuel Assistance Program, call 617-349-6252 and leave a message. A staff person will return your call as soon as possible.
Ages Young Adult to Senior Adult.
Any resident of Cambridge or Somerville who pays a heating bill may apply to the Fuel Assistance Program.

The program serves people at their homes or wherever it is needed or online.

Serving both the cities of Cambridge and Somerville, the Fuel Assistance Program assists low-income households with winter heating costs incurred between November 1 and April 30.
If your household has had a change in income or household size since you completed your application, you may request another review your application’s previous decision of eligibility (amount of assistance) or ineligibility.
