Early Childhood Opportunities, Afterschool Activities

At Newtowne, children thrive in a cooperative, Reggio-inspired program where teachers and families partner to nurture curiosity, confidence, and community engagement.

Known as universal preschool, we provide free preschool to Cambridge 4 year-olds and some 3 year-olds beginning in September.

Serving children ages 1.9 through 5 years old, with a focus on experiential learning, the arts, and diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice. We are not just a school, we are a welcoming community!

We run baseball leagues for new and experienced players at all levels for ages 4 - 12 years old.

We offer safe and fun programs for pre-teens, middle schoolers, and teens to connect with peers, build leadership skills, and participate in sports, arts, and activities in an inclusive environment. 

We provide regular exhibits, workshops, live events, guest presenters, and more for children, youth, and adults.

We offer nature-based games and activities, art, live music, food, and lots of other programs and activities for all ages, year-round.
