Since 1972, Somerville-Cambridge Elder Services (SCES) has been the area's aging information and service center.

Our mission is to promote and safeguard the health and independence of seniors.

We are Cambridge's anti-poverty agency. We provide a variety of wrap-around services to help people with public benefits, health insurance, financial education, housing, and more.

We help people who are experiencing homelessness and housing problems in Cambridge.

We promise to care for those who have served in our nation’s military and for their families, caregivers, and survivors.

We provide confidential support, information, and access to the best treatment centers (and financial assistance if needed) for people trying to recover from a substance abuse addiction.

We are a committee of A.A. members delegated by the member AA groups in our area to act as a clearinghouse.

We help families and friends of alcoholics. If you come to meetings and find relief, you belong.

We help anyone who is actively struggling with substance use get access to comprehensive and compassionate care without judgement.

We are a federal agency providing leadership, grants, training, technical assistance and more to improve the nation’s crime prevention capacity, assist victims, and enhance the rule of law.

We work to prevent suicide and support those who have lost someone to suicide. Each year, 300+ volunteers answer more than 80,000 calls, texts, and chats on our Helpline.

We ensure that people from racial, ethnic and sexual/gender marginalized populations with or at-risk for mental health and substance use issues can access quality care, thrive, and achieve well-being.

We access to services and supports to meet the mental health needs of individuals of all ages; enabling them to live, work and participate in their communities.

CCTV (cctvcambridge.org) is the community media center serving Cambridge.

The Emergency Communications Department operates the City's Combined Emergency Communications and 911 Center (ECC) located at the Robert W. Healy Public Safety Facility.

We work to create a health care system that provides culturally competent care to everyone, especially the most vulnerable among us, through public policy, advocacy, education, and public service.
