Early Childhood Education Career Training Program

DHSP Community Learning Center and Cambridge Office of Early Childhood (OEC)

This is a free program to help people prepare for a career in early childhood education.

Pathways to Family Success

Agenda for Children Literacy Initiative, Center for Families, Cambridge Housing Authority, and DHSP Community Learning Center

North Cambridge

Pathways to Family Success supports low-income Cambridge families with free events, activities, supplies, and community.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Training with CLC

DHSP Community Learning Center

Two free CNA training programs that include job placement, hands on training through Labouré College and the cost of the exam itself. Transportation provided from Cambridge.

High School Equivalency Prep (HiSET/GED) and Reading, Writing and Math Classes

Cambridgeport, Mid Cambridge, and Riverside

We offer Reading/Writing, Math and Science classes to adults. Students prepare for their high school equivalency test (HiSET/GED) or take classes just to improve their skills.

English Classes (ESOL) for Immigrants at Community Learning Center

Cambridgeport, Mid Cambridge, and Riverside Cambridge Highlands and North Cambridge

The CLC offers six levels of English conversation, grammar, reading, and writing classes for Cambridge residents. There are daytime and evening classes. We do not offer online-only classes.

Citizenship Preparation at CLC

We offer an evening citizenship preparation class for ESOL students who want to become U.S. citizens. Students work on speaking and listening skills and learn about U.S. history and government.

Bridge to College at CLC

We offer a free, dual enrollment program with Bunker Hill Community College.
