We offer a fun summer vacation program with a wide range of activities and field trips based out of our Cambridge YMCA location!
Sign-up Information
- Ages: 5 to 13.
Eligibility is based on age and school readiness - participants must be 5 years old by August 31st of the previous year and have completed one year of Kindergarten by the start of the program (going into 1st grade in the fall).
Registration required
- Sign-up is ongoing
Registration opens in early February and is rolling until spots are filled. Interested families should register by March, spots are typically filled by early April.
- Everyone will initially be placed on a waitlist. Families can continue registering for the waitlist after spots are filled.
- Families that receive a spot will generally be notified within a week of their initial sign-up date.
- Please make an account to register. Go to our Summer Program webpage, clicking "sign up" and selecting, "youth program participant". Then make an account to register.
- You can register for any number of our 8 summer sessions. We accept families into the program according to where they are on the waitlist for each session individually. We will know better in April how many slots are left.

Cost
- $300/week (first week is prorated due to the holiday).
- Nonrefundable deposits of $150 per session per child are due within 1 week of acceptance into the program.

This program runs during the summer.
- The program runs July 6 - August 28.
- You can sign up for all 8 weeks or select individual weeks.
- Camp runs every weekday from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

- The Cambridge YMCA’s Summer Program provides structured, fun-filled activities and outings to local parks, as well as weekly field trips to museums, movies, beaches, and other exciting locations in the Boston/Cambridge area.*
- Our teachers are from diverse specializations and backgrounds and are able to create a wide variety of activities from which your child can choose.
- Our children have access to a wide range of activities including arts and crafts, dance, swimming, science club, games, and gym activities. Some of these activities are offered every day, giving your child the chance to repeat favorite activities or explore something new.
- All of our activities are designed with our four core character values in mind: Honesty, Caring, Respect, and Responsibility.
