Free
Youth ages 13-18 take part in the Teen Media Program (TMP) and Public Art Program, where they engage in projects involving visual art, media, and opportunities to connect with community.
Sign-up Information
- Ages: 13 to 18.
- Grades 8th grade through 12th grade.
- Cambridge residents only.
- We only accept Cambridge residents for our summer programming.
- Our school year programs are available to teens ages 13-18, including youth from outside of Cambridge.

- Registration dates
- School year program participants can apply using our Community Art Center Teen Programs Interest Form.
- Filling out the application does not guarantee enrollment.
- The deadline to apply is Sept. 21. Teens will be notified of their enrollment status during the week of Sep 21.
- Summer programming happens through the Mayor's Program. Please apply in mid-April using the Mayor's Summer Youth Employment Program Trax Application when it is released.

Dates and Times
This is an ongoing program.
- Our dates for this school year are:
- Fall Session: September 30 to December 18
- Spring Session: January 13 to May 28
- Both school year programs run 4:00 - 6:00 PM during the school year.
- Teen Public Art runs Tuesdays and Thursdays.
- Teen Media Program runs Mondays and Wednesdays.
- The Teen Public Art's summer programming typically runs Monday - Friday from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM.
- The Teen Media Program's summer programming typically runs Monday - Friday 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM.
- Both summer programs run during July and August (exact weeks are determined by the Mayor's Program).

Youth ages 13-18 can join the Teen Media Program (TMP), where teens become creative technology users and hone their storytelling skills through filmmaking and planning the DIYDS National Youth Film Festival. Youth can also join The Teen Public Art Program (TPA) where they create public art projects for local corporations and institutions using digital print, spray paint, and traditional paint and collaborate with local artists on projects. Also includes technique building in the studio classroom between projects using sewing, jewelry making, printing, digital art and other forms.
