Helping Hands Volunteers Needed: Assisting High-Risk People
We help senior citizens, the immunocompromised, and people with pre-existing medical conditions by organizing volunteers to deliver groceries, medicine, and other necessary supplies.
This is an ongoing program.
Volunteers will run errands depending on your availability and the specific need of the person you're helping.
Healthy? Volunteer to deliver: Are you healthy and ready to help your neighbors? Create a profile on our website (www.helpinghands.community). You’ll then be able to see things people need delivered and can select the neighbors you’d like to help.
Helping Hands is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving those most vulnerable to COVID-19: senior citizens, the immunocompromised, and people with pre-existing medical conditions which put them at additional risk. Our community of volunteers deliver groceries, medicine, and other necessary supplies to empower everyone to stay healthy and be as responsible as they can be.
The program serves people at their homes or wherever it is needed.
- No transportation provided.
You would need to have the ability to travel from the location of the errand to do the individual in-need.
If you're interested in becoming a volunteer, please read the directions and complete our form here: https://helpinghands.community/give
Individuals in-need are provided with several options to provide payment for any supplies that have an associated cost. We will try to make strong matches based on people's situations and your ability to help.
