We offer Reading/Writing, Math and Science classes to adults. Students prepare for their high school equivalency test (HiSET/GED) or take classes just to improve their skills.

Ages: 16 to Adults.

This program was designed for adults and serves residents ages 16+

Reading/Writing, Science and Math Classes for Adults and HiSET/GED Prep

Are you looking to improve your Reading, Writing, Science and Math skills? Are you hoping to take your high school equivalency test? Join the free Adult Education program at the Cambridge Community Learning Center (CLC)! We offer classes in four levels of Math and Reading, from beginner’s to high school level. We also offer a high school level Science class. We admit students throughout the year.

Classes meet twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:15-9:15 p.m. from September to June. We also offer summer classes. In addition, CLC students have access to services, including:

  • Career advising
  • Education advising
  • Free tutoring
  • Support for students with learning differences and disabilities

Information Sessions and Placement Tests: To learn more about our program, sign-up to attend an information session at our Central Square location (5 Western Avenue). During the session, you learn about the program and take a placement test.
