This is an ongoing program.
Year-round, long-term opportunity.
Ages Young Adult to Senior Adult.
Must be over the age of 18. We have an application process and CORI background check.

Location
The program serves people at their homes or wherever it is needed or online.
- Both in-person and virtual (online or over the phone).
SCES Volunteer opportunities are over the phone as much as possible, and our agency is establishing guidelines for safety for those occasions when it's necessary to meet a senior in person.
Additional information
Scheduling: Ongoing match, evenings and weekends okay.
One-on-one match with a client who needs assistance with their bills or other financial obligations.
Balance checkbooks, reconcile bank statements, and assist with finance-related tasks.
Usually a 2-4 hour per month commitment.
2-hour training session on a weekday evening (via Zoom during the pandemic).
Additionally, our volunteers meet 3 times per year to discuss educational topics and any client issues.
Skills: sensitivity to elders, reliability, willingness to do minimal paperwork, and respect for confidentiality.
We look for volunteers who can stay with the program for at least a year.
