Solar Start is a paid, 2.5 month-long program providing hands-on instruction in photovoltaic (solar panel) installation, design, and maintenance.

The full application process:
- Fill out an Inquiry Form and attend a one-hour Info Session
- Complete a Program Application & submit required documentation
- Attend an interview with our Counseling Services team
- Attend “Solar Foundations” – a one day orientation to decide if the program is a good fit

Additional information
Solar Start prepares trainees, ages 18-30, for entry-level careers in the rapidly expanding residential solar and energy efficiency sectors. The program provides hands-on field experience in solar installation, industry recognized certifications, safety precautions in solar, HVAC, and electrical, as well as soft skills, and job readiness in the green energy industry.
