Middle and High School Opportunities

We offer high quality, humanistic ballet education and training for children of all levels age 3 and up.

Our track team competes in both AAU and USA Track & Field meets, qualifiers and Olympic events. We currently have practice and meets three seasons each year for ages 6 - 14.

We provide language and interpretation classes, youth programs, multicultural community events, and other supports for immigrant families.

We provide free, high-quality, and hands-on science activities and mentoring for children and teens typically one day a week at each location.

At the Cambridge YMCA After School Program, children have many opportunities to grow and discover new hobbies and interests.

We are a nonprofit programs support girls to be physically and emotionally healthy and strong. Girls on the Run will be hosting a team at Danehy Park this fall beginning the week of September 19th.

We are an academic and social enrichment afterschool program committed to quality and to supporting children as they continue on their path of personal growth and education.

We offer safe and fun programs for pre-teens, middle schoolers, and teens to connect with peers, build leadership skills, and participate in sports, arts, and activities in an inclusive environment. 

Summer Flag Football programs for girls ages 10-18.

MIT Full STEAM Ahead Into Summer welcomes students for 3 weeks of making and creating this summer! Using hands-on learning and project creation, teams of students will construct their own projects!

Explore Longfellow House-Washington's Headquarters by interactive guided tour! The occupants of this house shaped our nation. A variety of tours invite visitors to connect with their stories.

We offer fun, high energy martial arts classes for ages 5 to 13.

We host rock climbing weeks for young people with a variety of rock climbing skill levels. We have a standard options as well as options that include parkour activities and rock climbing together.

Join us for Summer Lacrosse Wednesdays, no experience needed, just a place to have fun and play lacrosse with your peers for free!

We've created orienteering courses throughout the city of Cambridge to get you and your family outside and moving around. Check out our map courses on our website!

We offer a progression of map navigation activities for home-schooled students who want to learning individually or in a group.

Join us on the basketball courts this summer! We offer recreational basketball for children, youth, and teens ages 8-19 that take place in the evenings at outdoor courts around Cambridge.

We offer young players a chance to play hockey outside over the summer. Our league will focus on skills, drills, and game competitions for new and experienced players of all identities.

Cambridge residents with children in grades K-8 apply to DHSP Afterschool Programs through this lottery application. The lottery opens in April for the coming school year.

We offer a summer camp where children play sports activities all day!

We host summer break theatre camps for 8-12 year-olds, led by professional actors and teaching artists from Actors’ Shakespeare Project. Join us for one or for both!

We offer STEM programs at various locations across New Hampshire, Vermont, and Massachusetts to children ages 4-13.

We help girls develop courage, confidence, and character through community service, exploration, workshops and adventures, including lessons in STEM, outdoors, life skills, entrepreneurship.

We offer sailing, paddling, and windsurf lessons, STEM programs, games, and other activities for Greater Boston's youth every summer.

Kroka is a wilderness expedition school for young people based on an organic farm in Marlow, New Hampshire.

We offer a fun and inclusive wrestling classes for boys and girls with expert instructors and coaches.
