Homelessness Supports, Clothing and Material Support

We manage a homeless shelter for men and women on Green Street in Cambridge.

We offer a wide inventory of adult professional outfits and children's clothing and resources.

We connect people who are homeless in Cambridge to appropriate housing opportunities using our assessment tool.

We will fix up 800+ donated bicycles and give them to qualified Cambridge residents. With bicycles people will also receive a bike lock, helmet, and lights.

Residents can apply for a new bicycle voucher (to buy from participating shops). Those selected can choose a pedal bike, e-bike, e-cargo bike, adaptive bicycle or electric wheelchair attachment.

We help Cambridge residents access and navigate affordable housing opportunities, obtain eviction and tenant displacement prevention, and other housing related resources and services.

We provide a shelter for men that includes counseling, meals, clothing, a medical clinic, and day programs.

Since 1987, First Church Shelter has provided a basic act of mercy to the poor and homeless of Cambridge and surrounding communities.

We provide homeless people with a safe, caring place to stay in the winter, plus counseling resources and transitional supports for anyone employed and saving money towards secure housing.
