This is a paid community service-learning program where teens, ages 14 -18, team up on a project that impacts their neighborhood.

Registration required

  • Sign-up is ongoing

Students must complete an application and participate in an interview. Applications will be available at Youth Centers, the Office of Workforce Development at 51 Inman St., and the Youth Employment Center at CRLS.

You must apply in January or February.

Cost

This Program is free!

This is an opportunity where teens get paid, all positions are $15/hour.

The program location changes over time.

  • In-person only.

Dates and Times

This program runs during the school year.

Monday through Friday.

Evening.

March - May or June is when the internships run. Teens work 2 days/week in the evenings.

Additional information

NSP is a  paid community-based service-learning program that introduces young people ages 14 & 18 to the world of work by engaging them in the development of a project that impacts their neighborhood. NSP teens work with an adult Community Liaison to identify a need in their community, design a project to address the need, and showcase their work to the community at large. They receive deisgn thinking, project management, skill development opportunities while helping their community and earning some money!
