Young Children & Parent Activities

This guide gives caregivers a quick and easy format to find lots of fun activities for young children that will happen this summer.

We can provide a home visitor who can visit your home for one-hour every week to explore books, educational materials, and play-based learning with your child.

Our exciting community programming focuses on health, wellness, and active living in Cambridge! Our multiple facilities are open to community members interested in sports, activities, and lessons.

The Center for Families shares our most up to date information for Cambridge families with children birth-age 8 years on programming, resources, and supports in our monthly newsletter!

MicroSoccer is a soccer program for 4-6 year-olds, who play every Saturday during our Fall and Spring seasons.

Henry Street Farms will provide one vegetable or herb seedling to each Cambridge, MA student willing to commit to caring for a plant, until we run out of seedlings. Pre-schoolers are also eligible.

"Our Animal Neighbors in Cambridge" is a video series. It introduces children to the wild animals that live here. Kids can watch with an adult to get inspired about science and learn about Cambridge.

We run parkour classes in various parks throughout Cambridge and Somerville during the school year. No special equipment or prior experience needed.

We've collected a list of resources and activities for children and adults with special needs that parents can use while they're at home.

This is our traditional program where adult mentors are paired with children ages 7-12, and agree to see each other for 3 hours, a couple of times a month in the Little's community.

Academic Mentors work 1-on-1 with youth in grades 4-12 to provide tutoring and mentoring supports.
