Family Activities

A home visiting programs' primary purpose is to support and encourage parents and caregivers, share information, and connect families with resources in their home and/or a convenient location.

The Center for Families Newsletter is full of information, resources, and supports for Cambridge families with children birth-8 years old.

We provide a list of all upcoming opportunities for children ages 0-11; regular activities include story times, arts, musical, and dance events and more in our Children's Room.

The Longfellow Summer Arts Festival brings music, poetry, and community to the East Lawn of the Longfellow House on Sunday afternoons through the summer. All events are free and open to the public.

We provide free and nutritionally balanced meals to Cambridge residents 18 years of age and under. There are vegetarian and non-vegetarian options offered at all meal sites!

We restore and protect the green spaces in urban areas like the one around Magazine Beach along the Charles River. in spring and summer we invite people to enjoy the site and host community events.

We provide summer reading book recommendations; activities for children, teens, and adults; live events; as well as prizes and giveaways throughout July and August.
