Summer Camps and Activities, Homelessness Supports

This guide gives caregivers a quick and easy format to read through their summer camp options and reach out to staff for assistance.

This list contains several programs that provide low-cost or free internet and phone services to low-income households and individuals, including the Lifeline Program and Comcast Internet Essentials.

The City of Cambridge can help address concerns and questions about housing resources, tenants, homeowners, landlords and property management companies, and court-related information.

This is a program that provides a drop-in center for homeless and street-involved youth, ages 14-24, in Harvard Square, Cambridge.

The Longfellow Summer Arts Festival brings music, poetry, and community to the East Lawn of the Longfellow House on Sunday afternoons through the summer. All events are free and open to the public.

Safehome: Up to 1 month stay in a confidential location for an individual or family.
Transitional Housing: Up to two years of rental assistance for up to 16 survivors and their families.

We run an overnight emergency shelter for young adults (ages 18-24) in Harvard Square, open between October 15th and April 15th.

We provide free and nutritionally balanced meals to Cambridge residents 18 years of age and under. There are vegetarian and non-vegetarian options offered at all meal sites!

We offer summer ballet classes and dance programs, primarily for children of all levels ages 3-10 years-old.

We offer campers a fun way to spend their summer exploring their favorite subjects and activities with our classic, specialty, and sports summer camps!

We offer STEM programs at various locations across New Hampshire, Vermont, and Massachusetts to children ages 4-13.

Since 1987, First Church Shelter has provided a basic act of mercy to the poor and homeless of Cambridge and surrounding communities.

We provide homeless people with a safe, caring place to stay in the winter, plus counseling resources and transitional supports for anyone employed and saving money towards secure housing.

Our parent cooperative preschool will continue to provide a rich play environment in a warm, nurturing atmosphere over the summer.

Pine Village Preschool will offer a Spanish Immersion summer camp for toddlers through Pre-K (15 months - 5 years old) in multiple locations throughout Cambridge and Greater Boston.
