Elementary School Age Opportunities

We have several support groups, meetings, and events happening virtually for parents and their children.

We promote Community, Housing, Access, and Independence for children and adults of all abilities, strengths, and needs.

The Longfellow Summer Arts Festival brings music, poetry, and community to the East Lawn of the Longfellow House on Sunday afternoons through the summer. All events are free and open to the public.

For ages 4+! NSM offers group instrument lessons, choir ensembles, & private lessons on strings, guitar, woodwinds, piano, and voice.

When people come in we can help them use their digital devices (smartphones, tablets, computers), apply for services online, learn digital literacy and safety/privacy tips, and get access to devices.

We provide language and interpretation classes, youth programs, multicultural community events, and other supports for immigrant families.

Explore Longfellow House-Washington's Headquarters by interactive guided tour! The occupants of this house shaped our nation. A variety of tours invite visitors to connect with their stories.

Join us on Zoom, 10am ET, for half an hour, on occasional Saturdays to learn and practice techniques for having difficult conversations.

We've created orienteering courses throughout the city of Cambridge to get you and your family outside and moving around. Check out our map courses on our website!

Qualifying individuals can apply to receive affordable internet access and a new laptop.

We provide summer reading book recommendations; activities for children, teens, and adults; live events; as well as prizes and giveaways throughout July and August.

Our youth and teen summer classes include in-person and virtual dance classes for ages 4 and up!

We partner with local businesses and organizations to sponsor free events in parks across the city.

We offer lots of free events throughout the year for people of all ages with a love of learning!

We offer nature-based games and activities, art, live music, food, and lots of other programs and activities for all ages, year-round.

Cambridge Dads was created to increase fatherhood engagement in programming. The program strives to ensure dads are engaged, informed, and feel supported in their role as parents.

Our exciting community programming focuses on health, wellness, and active living in Cambridge! Our multiple facilities are open to community members interested in sports, activities, and lessons.

Our online space is dedicated to encouraging the mental wellness of Black women and girls. We provide information, a "Find a Therapist" service, as well as a blog and other resources.

Commemorating the 400th anniversary of Cambridge with inclusive programs to inspire residents to think critically about our past and apply lessons learned for our future.
