Public Benefits and Community Assistance

We work with 175+ diverse agencies in Cambridge and beyond. These agencies rely on community volunteers to help deliver services, support operations, or lead on their boards of directors.

Our guide is a great way to learn about and connect to free and low-cost foods in Cambridge.

Every Saturday, we open our place to the people in need and provide them with hot meals.

We help people pay for theirwinter heating bills if they are from low-income households in Cambridge and Somerville.

We have several support groups, meetings, and events happening virtually for parents and their children.

We offer nutritious food to those in need, no questions asked! Individuals and families can receive help once per week.

We provide lunch at noon every day and a continental breakfast six days each week through our drop-in Day Shelter.

We offer a free dual enrollment program with Bunker Hill Community College. Students take two classes and receive advising support to prepare for their next steps, such as college or career training.

The City of Cambridge can help address concerns and questions about housing resources, tenants, homeowners, landlords and property management companies, and court-related information.

When people come in we can help them use their digital devices (smartphones, tablets, computers), apply for services online, learn digital literacy and safety/privacy tips, and get access to devices.

Safehome: Up to 1 month stay in a confidential location for an individual or family.
Transitional Housing: Up to two years of rental assistance for up to 16 survivors and their families.

We can help you find out if you're paying too much for your electricity bill and find the best programs to help you save money.

The CLC offers five levels of English conversation, grammar, reading, and writing classes for Cambridge residents. There are daytime and evening classes. We do not offer online-only classes.

We provide language and interpretation classes, youth programs, multicultural community events, and other supports for immigrant families.
