Public Benefits and Community Assistance, Afterschool (Every Day)

This is a program that provides a drop-in center for homeless and street-involved youth, ages 14-24, in Harvard Square, Cambridge.

When people come in we can help them use their digital devices (smartphones, tablets, computers), apply for services online, learn digital literacy and safety/privacy tips, and get access to devices.

Our classrooms are designed to link the school-day and after-school experiences for children and families enrolled in the King Open School.

Safehome: Up to 1 month stay in a confidential location for an individual or family.
Transitional Housing: Up to two years of rental assistance for up to 16 survivors and their families.

We extend access to technology like Chromebook laptops and mobile WiFi hotspots by allowing patrons to check out devices.

We offer case management and counseling services for Cambridge residents over the age of 60 and their caregivers.

We are a student-run civil legal aid organization committed to providing free representation to low-income and marginalized communities in the Greater Boston area.

During the school year, CRLS students can come to the Youth Employment Center (Room 2101, 2nd floor) during any lunch and some days after school to seek help in finding employment.

Known as universal preschool, we provide free preschool to Cambridge 4 year-olds and some 3 year-olds beginning in September.

Serving children ages 1.9 through 5 years old, with a focus on experiential learning, the arts, and diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice. We are not just a school, we are a welcoming community!

The CLC offers five levels of English conversation, grammar, reading, and writing classes for Cambridge residents. There are daytime and evening classes. We do not offer online-only classes.

We are a comprehensive after-school educational enrichment and work-readiness program that includes paid workshops for low-income preteens and teens in Cambridge public housing.

We will offer open enrollment to elementary school students in after school (extended day and enrichment clubs) and vacation camps.

Safe, engaging, and enriching environment for students in kindergarten through elementary grades, the program blends academic support, creative expression, and hands-on learning.

We run an overnight emergency shelter for young adults (ages 18-24) in Harvard Square, open between October 15th and April 15th.

We are offering in-person HIV/STI testing, treatment, and PrEP for LGBTQ+ youth ages 16-29.
