Adult Education and Enrichment, Summer Camps and Activities

We provide summer programming for ages 3 to 6. Our lead teacher and owner is a mother of four children raised in Cambridge with over 20 years of early education experience.

We offer exercise classes for older adults such as Gentle Sculpt, Chair Fitness, Gentle Yoga, Aqua Aerobics, Taichi, and more.

Our Childcare Program serves children age 15 months to 5 years old in two Toddler and two Preschool classrooms. We have school year and summer spots for enrollment.

Our themed summer program fosters each child's emotional, academic and social development through play and exploration in our safe and nurturing community.

We are a daycare center for children ages 0-5.

We host two nature camps for children and youth over the summer, one at Habitat in Belmont and one at Drumlin Farm in Lincoln.

The Cambridge Children’s Circle offers small play-based summer programming rooted in fostering young children’s social and emotional development and going on daily city-wide adventures.

We offer campers a fun way to spend their summer exploring their favorite subjects and activities with our classic, specialty, and sports summer camps!

Our parent cooperative preschool will continue to provide a rich play environment in a warm, nurturing atmosphere over the summer.

We offer case management and counseling services for Cambridge residents over the age of 60 and their caregivers.

Our program provides a powerful and joyful summer program experience filled with dance and music production for children.

We offer Taekwondo classes all year round, including the summer, in a fun and educational environment where children 4 and up use martial arts to build self-confidence, focus, and physical wellbeing.

We provide free and nutritionally balanced meals to Cambridge residents 18 years of age and under. There are vegetarian and non-vegetarian options offered at all meal sites!

We restore and protect the green spaces in urban areas like the one around Magazine Beach along the Charles River. in spring and summer we invite people to enjoy the site and host community events.

Solar Start is a paid, 2.5 month-long program providing hands-on instruction in photovoltaic (solar panel) installation, design, and maintenance.

Just A Start partners with the Boston Tax Help Coalition and the IRS to offer Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) services free of charge.

YouthBuild Just A Start is a full-time, comprehensive youth workforce development program for ages 16-24 in the Boston Metro North region.

BCAP is a 10-week intensive training program designed for individuals with strong skills who are ready to enter sustainable careers in lab support and biomanufacturing.

Just A Start's Biotechnology Careers Program provides nine months of tuition-free training to prepare adults adults with low- to moderate-incomes for entry-level careers in the life sciences.
